“Verily, the hypocrites will be in the lowest depths (grade) of the Fire; no helper will you find for them”[an-Nisa’ 4:145]

"Then they will be thrown headlong into the (Fire) they and those straying in Evil
"And the whole hosts of Iblis (Satan) together.

"They will say there in their mutual bickerings:
" `By Allah we were truly in an error manifest

Quran: 26 - 94,95,96,97

The Prophet said, "Avoid the seven great destructive sins." The people enquire, "O Allah's Apostle! What are they? "He said, "To join others in worship along with Allah, to practice sorcery, to kill the life which Allah has forbidden except for a just cause (according to Islamic law), to eat up riba (usury), to eat up an orphan's wealth, to give your  back to the enemy and fleeing from the battlefield at the time of fighting, and to accuse chaste women, who never even think of anything touching chastity and are good believers.
Sahih Al-Bukhari Hadith
Hadith 4.28          Narrated by
Abu Huraira

“And if they had believed and guarded themselves (against evil), reward from Allah would certainly have been better; had they but known (this).”
 (Surah al-Baqarah 2:103)

From ancient time, sorcery has been existing in the world. It was at its heights at the time of Moosa (a.s). Even Rasool(s.a.w) experienced the power of sorcery. Sorcery was done to him and Allah informed this to him through angels, and he was able to undo it.

Yahya related to me from Malik from Yahya ibn Said from Said ibn al-Musayyab that Umar ibn al-Khattab killed five or seven people for one man whom they had killed secretly by sorcery. Umar said, "Had all the people of Sana (village) joined forces against him, I would have killed them all."
Al-Muwatta Hadith
Hadith 43.13

Even today, sorcery is punished with death in some of the Islamic countries because it is that great a sin. A person, who does sorcery inevitably has to sell his soul to Satan. Only then, Satan would carry out his evil commands for which Satan compromises with their soul, and Allah says; “They’ve in deed sold their souls for a miserable prize” (to Satan)

Allah also says that the plotting conspiracies of Satan would be blown like dust by a believer. Lot of people seek other sorcerers to counteract sorcery or black magic done to them, which only complicates matters and very rarely is sorcery removed. Unnecessary suspicion or confusion are caused by those, who claimed to remove sorcery, and the suspicion falls on many an innocent person.

Allah(swt) has said in a crystal-clear manner that Allah gives hidayath to whomsoever He wills, most of the people have misunderstood this verse in the Quran.

And whomsoever it is Allah's will to guide, He expandeth his bosom unto the Surrender, and whomsoever it is His will to send astray, He maketh his bosom close and narrow as if he were engaged in sheer ascent. Thus Allah layeth ignominy upon those who believe not.
Quran:  6 - 125

Most people think that only if Allah gives them hidayath, they would be able to follow the straight path; if not, they will never never be able to follow the straight path. This is completely totally and thoroughly a false misunderstanding. Allah(swt) has brought us into this world, the entire progeny of Adam and his entire progeny and everyone of them was or will be born in this world as a muslim (as a believer in God Almighty), even the child of a prostitute is born as a muslim – Allah(swt) has given hidayath to each and every one of the Jinn and Human being;  It is only later their parents changed them into various different sects and groups and religion. Allah(swt), when He created universe, He says He created the universe in 6 days; a day to our counting would be equivalent to 50,000 years. On the seventh day on the seventh heaven, there was a tremendous mighty huge ocean and in the midst of it, there was a beautiful throne carried by 70,000 angels;  so mighty were the angels that one of them would be able to lift the entire world with his small finger and spin it easily.  These angels were carrying the throne of Allah(swt), and before Allah(swt) set laws and regulations for all His creations, He set for Himself the first law, that is: “I have made injustice haraam on myself.” When Allah says this, can such a Being give hidayath to whomsoever He wills and make others go astray and then casts them in hell – will that be justice, can Allah(swt) ever be unjust, can He ever punish anyone unjustly – Allah(swt) means that He has given complete and total freedom to all and when people or jinn stray into the wrong path Allah(swt) leaves them to their free will and helps only those who seek His help and He is free to help whomsoever He wills.

When Allah has made people go astray, there is not a single chance; whatsoever, that such a person could go to heaven or go on the righteous path. It becomes impossible when Allah misleads, there is none who could lead them in the straight path but He will never do so. When Allah says; “Hidayath is from me and whomsoever I will I guide, and whomsoever I will I make them go astray,” He means that He has given mankind and jinn complete freedom to do whatsoever they will; either good or bad. It is their total freedom to do what they want to do or follow. Allah has also given us the revelations and the prophets to choose to do right or wrong. Allah in His infinite mercy; however bad we are, will not in the least interfere with our choice to do either good or bad. To such an extent that, even if they worship Satan wholeheartedly, Allah will not interfere with their choice but Allah has made it very clear that only if they worship Allah(swt), they will attain paradise and all the good in it; all others will have to go to hell.  When believers seek His help, He would make it easy for them to do good deeds and as for the evil or wrong doers, He would restrict His help;  a person has his or her full freedom to choose the path of the Quran and Hadees or follow any way he or she pleases, Allah(swt) will not interfere in it,   Allah is so merciful that whatever sin you do, Allah will forgive you if you seek forgiveness, but in the case of Kufr and Shirk, you will have to come out of it and then seek forgiveness only then He will forgive. The most important factor is people who do sihr WILL HAVE TO SELL THEIR SOULS TO SATAN. This is a must and without this, one can never never do sorcery. Here, there is an important factor we have to know; once you sell your soul to Satan, whatsoever good you do or whatsoever forgiveness you seek, Allah will not oblige you for once you sold your soul to Satan, you become the property of Satan and Allah being the most just-being will not commit injustice even to Satan.  Whatever bond you have made with Satan, you would have to break it/destroy it and come out of it and then seek forgiveness from Allah(swt); otherwise, Allah(swt) would never save you from Satan or bring you out of the claws of Satan and then guide you into righteousness. You would have to come out of the clutches of Satan just as you went into the clutches of Satan in your total freedom.

Another factor that is most necessary for shihr is dreams; one of the most  common sihr we face today comes in the form of dreams and Rasool(s.a.w) has said that dreams are of two types; the good ones are from Allah(swt) and He shows them to good people and makes the dream come true and the evil ones are from Satan through which he works evil on them. If someone is able to show dreams to others, it should either be Allah(swt) or Satan. Certainly, no person could ever be Allah, but if he can show dreams to another man, he can only do it by selling his soul to Satan, he gets the work done by Satan to show the evil dreams of his sorcery to those they impose it on. This type of sorcery is just psychology deceiving cast on the brain of the concerned person and Insha Allah it could be destroyed very easily – First as soon as you wake up, spit on your left side thrice saying “Oh! Allah, I seek refuge with Thee from the evil one.”(but do not spit on the right side or the side of the Kibla) And then with your imagination, burn the dream and take yourself and your loved ones, near-and-dear ones from that dream to a higher palatial place and imagine yourself to be happily enjoying yourself with your loved and near-and-dear ones in a most happy and joyous environment and keep doing this as many times as the evil dream comes to you, and that shihr would get destroyed (Insha Allah)  - it was just a psychological trick played on your brain and if you succumb to it, you would have to face the evil and if you resort to this method or likewise methods, you can easily come out of this type of shihr (Insha Allah). And you can sometimes, when you are sure of the person doing the sorcery, replace yourself in the evil dream with the person you suspect, in this way you would be returning the sorcery back on the person who did it to you – but do not do this till you are 100% sure as to who the person is who did this sorcery. In the first type if you imagine yourself in a higher palatial place with a joyous environment you can sometimes also better your future (Insha Allah).  Seeing muddy or dirty water, or like going down a path are some of the evil dreams.

Abu Salama (r.a) reported: I used to see dreams (and was so much perturbed) that I began to quiver and have temperature, but did not cover myself with a mantle. I met Abu Qatada (r.a) and made a mention of that to him. He said: I heard Allah's Messenger (s.a.w) as saying: A good vision comes from Allah and a (bad) dream (hulm) from devil. So when one of you sees a bad dream (hulm) which he does not like, he should spit on his left side thrice and seek refuge with Allah from its evil; then it will not harm him.

Sahih Muslim:Book 029, Number 5613

Some lunatics challenge people saying that there is no sorcery but this is a stupid challenge as Rasool(s.a.w) clearly stated that days would come where Just as a town is covered with clouds and no one living under it could say, “I am not under the clouds,” so also Sihr (sorcery) would be so very common to such an extent that no one could say “I am not under the influence of sorcery;” everyone would be under the effect of sorcery.  When Allah(swt) says about sorcery in the Quran and also shows us to overcome it with certain suras and Prophet(s.a.w) underwent it and when thousands of people even today suffer under the effect of sorcery, how can anyone be so stupid enough to challenge that there is no sorcery, it is just height of stupidity.

May Allah protect us and our near and dear ones from ALL types and forms of Sorcery and Evil eyes completely, totally, and thoroughly (aameen, aameen, aameen valhumdu Lillahi Rabbil Aalameen).
